sipgate introduces sipgate API

VoIP provider sipgate has launched its ’sipgate API’, giving customers direct access to its system via a designated, proprietary interface.

According to the company, sipgate has made its API available to enable developers to customize the service portfolio of the company to their needs. As a result, VoIP, SMS and fax systems can be integrated into CRM systems and Office programs. In addition, they can be integrated into commercial software, offering telephony and telephony administration to users directly.

The company has also disclosed the source code of Firefox extension ’sipgate FFX.’ Along with the creation of the connection with Click2Dial, it demonstrates requests for account status, missed calls, faxes and voice messages received. In addition, sipgate supports .NET developers with ’sipgate API .NET SDK,’ a library that facilitates using ’sipgate API’ services. Several Perl examples and a KDE panel application complete the no-cost service portfolio, while a mailing list allows developers to share experiences and tips, the company said.

Working with ’sipgate API’ is free with any sipgate account, irrespective of the pricing plan selected. No other pricing details were disclosed.
